Heilbronn / Heilbronn City Council
Heilbronn City Council
The town hall is the centre of municipal administration, and the municipal council holds its meetings there. For the citizens of Heilbronn, the town hall is thus the central place to go for any services provided by the local government and to gain first-hand insights into local politics.Everybody who wants to apply for a new passport or register a car needs to turn to the town hall or municipal administration. Theatregoers, library users and museum visitors all rely on Heilbronn’s local administration, just as do people who simply turn on their water tap.
The reason for this is that the local government is not only in charge of core administrative tasks but also runs the theatre, cultural institutions and the local waste disposal company as well as several limited liability companies such as the municipal utilities and the hospital.
Some 2,500 employees work for the City of Heilbronn.
